Posters by Mehdi Saeidi on display at IGA Philadelphia
TEHRAN – IGA Philadelphia – the American Institute of Graphic Arts is displaying a collection of posters by the Philadelphia-based Iranian artist and designer, Mehdi Saeidi.
Entitled “From Counter to Calligraphy”, the exhibit puts a spotlight on the design vision of Saeidi, which is influenced by his focus on the contemplation of Eastern aesthetics, heritage and tradition.
In a statement published on IGA Philadelphia website, the organizers wrote, “Saeidi uses his experience in graphic design, Persian calligraphy, and typography to transform Persian letters into different forms and shapes, rendering unique conceptions in graphic design.”
Saeidi’s works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions around the world.
The exhibit opened on September 1 and will be running until October 31.
